About the Study
- Conducted by an independent 3rd party, the study was a double-blind, nationwide taste test of 300+ EVOO purchasers across eight cities conducted in the summer of 2025.
- Consumers were given randomized samples of COR 100% California EVOO and Graza ‘Sizzle’ EVOO, sourced directly from grocery store shelves.<
- Consumers tasted the oils and were asked:
“Which, if either, of the two Extra Virgin Olive Oils you just tried do you prefer overall?”
N=330, Difference between California Olive Ranch 100% California Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Graza ‘Sizzle’ Extra Virgin Olive Oil is significant at 95% CL. Sample serving size: 1oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil tasted on 1/6 slice of locally sourced white bread. Consistent with ASTM Standard Guide for Sensory Claims Substantiation E1958-22 - 2022 version.
100% California EVOO is significantly preferred over Graza “Sizzle” EVOO.
