Dirty Olive Oil Martini Recipe

For martini lovers, fat-washing your vodka or gin with olive oil is an easy extra step to take your favorite cocktail to the next level. Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil gives the martini a smooth and velvety texture while also adding more depth of flavor. Give it a try - we bet you’ll love it!

Ingredients

For fat-washing the vodka or gin:

  • 8oz vodka or gin
  • 2 oz California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil

For one dirty martini:

  • 2 ½ oz fat-washed vodka or gin
  • ½ oz vermouth
  • ½ oz olive brine

For garnish:

  • Rosemary sprig with half the needles removed
  • 1 blue cheese stuffed olive
  • 1 pimiento stuffed olive
  • Additional drops of California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil


Instructions

  1. In a large mason jar, add the 8oz vodka or gin and the 2oz California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Shake well and let sit on the counter for two hours before moving to the freezer overnight.

  2. The next day, use a spoon to remove the solidified olive oil from the mason jar and strain the rest through a fine mesh strainer lined with a coffee filter. Keep the strained spirit in your freezer until ready to use.

  3. When ready to make your martini, fill a cocktail shaker with ice and the dirty martini ingredients. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with the rosemary sprig with the olives pierced on the end and finish with drops of California Olive Ranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Cheers!
