Apple Mustard Relish for Summer Sausage
This garlicky apple mustard relish is all you need to top the goods coming off the grill with for this summer. Bursting with flavor, the right amount of sweetness to savory, and a little vinegar kick. This relish is amazing atop any summer sausage, burgers with melty cheese, or even spooning the leftovers onto eggs and toast in the morning.
Ingredients
- 1lb your favorite summer sausage
- 1 large apple, cored and chopped into 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/2 a sweet onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 celery stalks, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons California Olive Ranch Arbosana EVOO
- 1 teaspoon fine salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 teaspoons stone-ground mustard
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- Buns, if desired
Instructions
- Cook sausage to your liking.
- To a medium sized bowl, add in chopped apple, onion, garlic, celery, California Olive Ranch Arbosana EVOO, salt, pepper, mustard and white vinegar.
- Mix all ingredients well with a rubber spatula.
- Spoon apple relish onto cooked sausage.
