Starbucks VIA Marinade

  • 1/3 cup California Olive Ranch extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 packets Starbucks VIA® Ready Brew
  • 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 2-3 pounds beef, chicken or pork

Combine all ingredients in a shallow non-metallic pan, or zip-top plastic bag. Stir or press bag to mix thoroughly. Add choice of meat and turn to coat completely. Cover dish or seal bag and refrigerate 2-24 hours. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. Grill, broil or bake as desired.

Variation: To highlight California Olive Ranch extra virgin olive oil, omit black pepper and add 2 tablespoons ground coriander, 1 tablespoon ground fennel seed and 1 tablespoon ground star anise.
